Mitsubishi Owners Day (Central) 2026 Coverage
Share

It was an absolutely beautiful day for a car show. July 18th, 2026 made history when LancerNation, Midwest Evolution, and Mitsu.Crew brought Mitsubishi Owners Day back to Illinois for the first time in 10 years since the closure of the Normal, Illinois DSM factory. We called for all Mitsubishi, DSM, and rebadged owners to join us and you heeded the call. We had about 100 cars for the show by owners from over 8 states, some driving over 2500 miles round trip to attend this event.

The collection for this first event was a first for LancerNation. Of all the attending cars, there were only 2 SUVs and the rest were sedans, wagons, and coups. Even more surprising was the amount of 3000GTs vs. the amount of Lancer Evolutions. And to add as cherry on top the amount of Eclipses and DSMs as surprisingly high and all of them in amazing shape. It was nice to see more Galants as we have not had a good Galant showing since 2019.

And for the first time we had some new rebadged Mitsubishis show up in the form of Dodge Stratus Coupes. These coupes were made in the DSM plant form 2001 to 2005. We are super surprised that we had some owners show up and greatful they did.

Once again, thank you to everyone who came to the show and make it the success it was. It was an honor to bring this show back and we look forward to bringing it back again next year. We also want to give a shoutout to Midwest Evolution, Mitsu Crew, Silva Roo, Twin Peaks of Warrenville and all the supporting vendors and sponsors who made this event the success it was. There are definitely things we can work on for next year but it should get better each year.
