Mitsubishi Owners Day (East) 2015
LancerNation comes out in force and shuts it down!
LancerNation setup it's first official event! Connecting with owners from everywhere from Massachusetts to Virginia we cruised into Camden, New Jersey for Mitsubishi Owners Day (East Coast) with nearly 46 cars.
The event was setup here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=402365406623195
With 4 stops on the cruise down, it brought together owners of Mitsubishis from all models and walks of life. At one point we were so big we clogged up the New Jersey turnpike with Lancers, Galants, Talons, Eagles, Mirages, Evolutions & Eclipses.
The weather was a pain but for the second year in a row, but owners came out and came together to showcase some awesome rides from all over the East Coast. Mitsubishi supplied the event with one of the Final Edition Evolution X, a pile of Outlanders and Outlander Sports and lots of raffle prizes. Rockford Fosgate brought the rock out van to test your metal against their sound systems. LancerNation teamed up with ProjectLancer.net and gave out awards for the best in the following 3 categories in the non-VIP section.
- Best Base Model Lancer (DE, ES, GT, GTS)
- Best Ralliart
- Best Evo
After careful consideration 3 winners were picked and they were awarded with a T-Shirt, stickers and a banner! Congratulations to them!
- Best Evolution: Tyler Steck (Interview)
- Best Lancer: Jennifer Erin (Interview)
- Best RalliArt: Carlos Hernandez Rivera (Interview)
EvoXForums took home the banner for last year's M.O.D. and TeamNotEvo took home the banner for this year's M.O.D. There were other awards to give out too. Best Sedan & Judge's which were picked by Mitsubishi themselves. And also People's Choice which was picked by all who attended. All 3 were taken by members of LancerNation:
- Best Sedan: Billy Brown (Interview)
- Judge's Choice: Tim "JukEboX" Murray (Interview)
- People's Choice: Brandon Weaver (Interview)
At the end of M.O.D. people started cruising home, heading to Philly for some famous cheese steaks, go carting or just hung around for pictures and chat. With another year down and talk from Mitsubishi changing the date for the East Coast M.O.D. we can only hope that next year will be even bigger. LancerNation will be there. And we hope to be even bigger next year.
